asked the Minister of Health when he will announce his plans for the allocation of prefabricated houses.

I hope to be able to make an announcement shortly on this and other matters regarding the factory made emergency house.

Miss Ward

Will the statement be made before the House rises for the Recess?

Mr. Willink

I hope so.

Mr. Buchanan

Will it cover only the Ministry of Health or will it be a joint statement to cover Scotland as well?

Mr. Willink

I will discuss that with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State. It may be that there will be two.

Mr. Henderson Stewart

Will the statement be of such a kind that it can be debated, in view of the great interest in the matter?

Mr. Willink

That is a question for the Leader of the House.

May I ask the Leader of the House to consider whether the statement cannot be made in such a way that we may debate it?
