HC Deb 29 June 1944 vol 401 c771
2. Mr. Kirby

asked the Minister of Labour whether his attention has been called to the lack of lavatory accommodation for women at the Employment Exchange, Church Road, West, Walton, Liverpool; that some of the women registering there are unwell and some of them pregnant; and will he take early steps to remedy this state of affairs.

Mr. Bevin

These are temporarily hired premises at a Methodist church hall and there is difficulty in providing lavatory accommodation there for the public. Efforts are being made to overcome this difficulty, and I will write to my hon. Friend in due course.

Mr. Kirby

Will my right hon. Friend look upon this matter as one of some urgency?
