HC Deb 21 June 1944 vol 401 cc169-70
16. Mr. Driberg

asked the Secretary of State for Air if consideration has been given to the anomalies arising from the recent revision of pay and allowances; and if he can now make any further statement.

Sir A. Sinclair

I presume that the hon. Member has in mind the various minor points which were left over for examination following the recent discussions with certain hon. Members on the subject of Service pay and allowances. A statement on these matters on behalf of the Government will be made shortly.

Mr. Driberg

Before any final decisions are taken on the particular anomalies in the R.A.F., will the right hon. Gentleman consider the arguments which will be put to him in the Adjournment Debate which is being initiated next week by the hon. and gallant Member for Darwen (Captain Prescott)?

Sir A. Sinclair

That, I think, deals with a different question, but of course any argument brought forward will be taken into consideration.

Captain Prescott

His duties permitting, will the right hon. Gentleman endeavour to be present at that Debate?

Sir A. Sinclair

Yes, duties permitting.
