§ 13. Mr. G. Straussasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare how many Spanish ships are now engaged in trading with the enemy; and whether any further pressure is being brought on the Spanish Government to cease giving commercial aid to the German Government.
§ Mr. FootAbout 12 Spanish ships, with an aggregate tonnage of 4,000 g.r.t. are still engaged in trading between Spanish and enemy ports. This is a considerable reduction on the tonnage of a year ago. As regards the second part of the Question, negotiations are continuing.
