§ 2. Mr. Manderasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps it is proposed to take to carry into effect the recommendations of the informal Inter-Allied Committee on the future of the Permanent Court of International Justice (Cmd. 6531); and, in view of recommendation 137 with regard to justiciable disputes, what machinery it is proposed to consider for settling non-justiciable disputes, such as by establishing a tribunal in equity.
§ Mr. EdenThe report of the Committee has been communicated to the Governments of the United Nations for consideration. His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom have offered to receive and circulate such observations as any of them may desire to make on the report, and the question of the action to be taken will then be one to be decided by consultation between the United Nations. The method of settling non-justiciable disputes will presumably fall to be considered in connection with the future organisation for the maintenance of peace.
