§ 45. Sir Edward Griggasked the Prime Minister whether he will inform the House of the present attitude of His Majesty's Government towards the Belgian Government in London.
§ The Prime Minister (Mr. Churchill)I avail myself of this opportunity to assure my hon. Friend that there is no change of attitude on the part of His Majesty's Government towards the Belgian Government in London. They have been recognised as the legal and constitutional Government of Belgium; and it was in this capacity that we have recently signed with them an agreement similar to those concluded with the Netherlands and Norwegian Governments in regard to the administration of the liberated countries.
