HC Deb 07 June 1944 vol 400 c1358
66. Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Health in the respects where the Government's proposed factory-built bungalow does not conform with his Department's model by-laws or the seven building Acts governing our large cities, what action he is taking to enable these and similar houses built by other than Government agencies to come within the law.

Miss Horsbrugh

This is one of the many matters which are under consideration in connection with emergency factory-made houses.

Mr. Bossom

Is not the absence of any positive action retarding the development of an important contribution to post-war building?

Miss Horsbrugh

The Question refers to emergency factory-built houses. We are not stopping anything that has to do with emergency factory-built houses. Anyone can go ahead.

Mr. Bossom

Will the hon. Lady answer the latter part of the Question?
