§ 36. Mr. Jewsonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport what arrangements have been made to cope with the traffic arising from the closing of schools for the summer holidays, at the end of July.
§ Mr. Noel-BakerSchools have been asked to close for the summer holidays not later than 28th July. The railway companies have been authorised to provide special trains on any day up to and including that date, in cases where the number of the pupils justifies a train and where there is not room for them in the ordinary services.
