§ 38. Mr. Toucheasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport the circumstances in which his Department ordered four eight-ton lorries to take 32 tons of potatoes from Lingfield to Aldershot on 10th July; is he aware that when the lorries arrived at Aldershot, after a delay of four hours, they were sent back unloaded to Lingfield; that on the following day, after several hours' delay, the lorries were then again sent with the same load to Aldershot; that the drivers were then told that this load was not wanted at Aldershot; and, finally, the potatoes were sent to Bagshot, for use as pig food.
