HC Deb 18 July 1944 vol 402 c2
8. Sir Frank Sanderson

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the recent Commission set up by the Archbishop of Canterbury to consider the use of religious films, any facilities are available to the chaplains of His Majesty's Forces at home and abroad for the use of religious films.

The Secretary of State for War (Sir James Grigg)

No religious films are provided for the Army as a normal issue. Commercially produced films are, however, available on hire and chaplains have been advised of them.

Sir F. Sanderson

Are there any religious films available for overseas from any Department whatsoever?

Sir J. Grigg

If my hon. Friend wants a more categorical answer, I shall have to look into the matter further.
