That the proceedings on Government Business be exempted at this day's Sitting from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House).I do so in order that we may complete the Business as announced, and I hope there will be no objection to my doing so.
§ Mr. Buchanan (Glasgow, Gorbals)To complete what Business? The right hon. Gentleman says "Government Business"; he might tell us what Government Business it is intended to complete. It might be a little courtesy to the House.
§ Mr. StuartYes, and I am sorry that I omitted to do so. It was announced last week that it was hoped to get the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill through the Committee stage and the remaining stages to-day, in order to get that Bill to the Lords, and also to get the Isle of Man (Customs) Bill and the Civil Excess Vote.
