Wing-Commander Jamesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, since the recent murders of R.A.F. and other officer prisoners by the Gestapo took place under circumstances that prove the compliance of the Luftwaffe, who were the responsible camp authority, His Majesty's Government will make it clear that, as well as the Gestapo, they intend to bring to book for this crime the appropriate Luftwaffe senior officers and that, if any outrages occur in connection with Wehrmacht or Kriegsmarine prison camps, they intend to hold the chiefs of those services responsible also.
