§ 35. Mr. Rileyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the date and place for the next West Indian Conference under the auspices of the Caribbean Commission has yet been fixed; and whether he will ensure that at least one representative from each British Colony represented at the conference shall be an elected member of the national legislature of the Colony he represents.
§ Colonel StanleyThe recommendation of the Conference Report that the next meeting of the Conference should be held within the next twelve months is now being considered by the Caribbean Governments concerned, and though I 1148 hope that it will be possible to arrange a meeting within this time, I am not yet in a position to make an announcement. The suggestion in the second part of the Question will be considered when the time comes to make arrangements for the next Conference.
