asked the Minister of Labour whether in view of the growing shortage of labour for milking, he will again start recruiting for the W.L.A. and give the highest priority to milkmaids.

Recruitment for the Women's Land Army was re-opened on a limited scale on 3rd January, to enable women to volunteer as milkers and for other responsible posts.
