§ 5. Sir Leonard Lyleasked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the increase 953 by 4,421 in the number of wholly unemployed to 76,674 in January, he can state the forms of industry in which this number of workers are normally engaged; and to what is attributed their present failure to obtain work.
§ Mr. BevinThis increase as compared with October was almost entirely attributable to seasonal unemployment among women in agricultural occupations and to the temporary inclusion on the register of boys and girls who left school in December.
