§ 2. Mr. Daggarasked the Minister of Labour if, in view of the number of persons holding supervisory posts in Royal Ordnance factories and whose remuneration exceeds £420 per annum, it is proposed to bring them within the scope of the Unemployment Insurance Acts, especially as they anticipate unemployment similar to what was experienced prior to 1939.
§ Mr. BevinI would ask my hon. Friend to await the publication of the Government's proposals about Social Insurance.
§ 31. Mr. Daggarasked the Minister of Health whether it is proposed to bring within the scope of the National Insurance Act the number of persons now engaged as temporary supervisors at Royal Ordnance factories whose wages, including bonuses, amounting to more than £420 per annum exclude them from the 952 benefits of the Act, unless they continue as members of the scheme as voluntary contributors.
§ The Minister of Health (Mr. Willink)I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him earlier this morning by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service.
