48. Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will consider 1902 convening a meeting of representatives from the National Farmers' Union and the Association of British Chambers of Commerce, with a view to further discussion on broad lines of post-war policy for agriculture; and whether he will consider making pronouncements from time to time of progress in these matters.
Mr. HudsonI understand that representatives of the National Farmers' Union and the Association of British Chambers of Commerce have already met to consider a basis of collaboration on post-war policy. No doubt the parties concerned will themselves arrange for any further discussions that may be desired.
Mr. De la BèreDoes my right hon. Friend appreciate that the views of the Association of British Chambers of Commerce are very enlightened, and that he might learn a great deal from them?
