HC Deb 03 February 1944 vol 396 c1404
66. Sir I. Albery

asked the President of the Board of Education if he has made any representations with a view to securing the release, for educational purposes, of St. Katherine's College at Tottenham, Whitelands College, Putney, and the King's College of Household and Social Science, Campden Hill Road.

Mr. Butler

I am now engaged in reviewing the position of all the training colleges which, owing to war circumstances, are being used for purposes other than training teachers, with a view to recovering them for their normal purposes as soon as possible. Of those mentioned by my hon. Friend, King's College of Household and Social Science is a university institution and is not directly the concern of my Department.
