HC Deb 02 February 1944 vol 396 c1250
7. Rear-Admiral Beamish

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware of the difficulties confronting officers of the R.A.F. in the Central Mediterranean Force in purchasing articles of uniform, clothing and footwear, which do not confront military officers; and will he therefore co-operate with the Secretary of State for War in providing the necessary facilities for the R.A.F. officers, through the Army organisation.

Sir A. Sinclair

Yes, Sir. I am informed that there has been a shortage in the supply of uniforms for Royal Air Force officers serving in the base areas. Action has been taken and adequate supplies should be available at an early date.
