§ 37. Sir John Wardlaw-Milneasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has any further statement to make regarding supplies to the Channel Islands and general conditions there.
§ Mr. H. MorrisonI am not at present in a position to add to the statement which I made on Tuesday, 12th December, except to say that the International Red Cross Committee, who control the ship which will carry the supplies, say 1932 that there have been certain difficulties which have prevented the ship sailing as soon as had been hoped.
§ Sir J. Wardlaw-MilneDo I understand from that reply that the ship has not yet sailed?
§ Mr. MorrisonThere is a report in the Press that it was to sail yesterday, but I understand that that did not take place. It is hoped that it will have sailed this morning, but I am being a little cautious because I do not wish to create disappointment.
