§ 44. Mr. Keelingasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he intends to use his powers under the Colonial Prisoners Removal Act to transfer to a prison in the United Kingdom members of the British fighting forces sentenced to imprisonment by a Maltese civil court.
§ Colonel StanleyThe question of removal to the United Kingdom under the Act is considered in each case according to the circumstances. Certain changes have been made in the administrative arrangements under the Act which will facilitate removal in appropriate cases and I am asking the Governor of Malta to review all cases both of Servicemen and others, in which the question of removal might arise.
