§ 3. Mr. Alexander Walkdenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether all German agents have now been expelled from Tangier; and whether the United Nations are taking steps to ensure that this territory will henceforth be under their control.
§ Mr. EdenAccording to the information in my possession, all the German agents whose names were originally communicated to the Spanish authorities have been expelled from Tangier. Later evidence has, however, shown that there is still one German agent in the Tangier Zone, 498 whom His Majesty's Government are pressing the Spanish Government to expel without further delay. As regards the second part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. and gallant Member for Ormskirk (Commander King-Hall) by my right hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary on 28th November.
§ 7. Commander Locker-Lampsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the situation in Tangier has altered; and whether the Spanish Government have given up the territory improperly seized.
§ Mr. EdenThe answer to both parts of the Question is in the negative, but I would also refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 28th November to the hon. and gallant Member for Ormskirk (Commander King-Hall) by my right hon. Friend the Parliamentary Linder-Secretary.
