§ 48. Captain Gammansasked the Prime Minister how many casualties have been suffered in the war against Japan by the British Empire and U.S.A. armed Forces, respectively.
§ The Prime MinisterThe figures are not immediately available. Furthermore, several Governments are concerned and would have to be consulted; and it is for consideration whether this information could be given without helping the enemy. So far as I am aware the United States Government have not published any such figures, but the brunt of the war against Japan is of course being borne by them.
