§ 17. Flight-Lieutenant Teelingasked the Secretary of State for Air whether he 1364 is aware that by an arrangement with E.N.S.A., camps and Air Force stations, within two miles of a local cinema in a small town or city, are not allowed to show films until they have appeared in such small towns, possibly six months after their first release; and whether he will arrange that each station or camp should be judged on its own merits as to whether the two-miles limit is justified or not.
§ Sir A. SinclairThere is an agreement between E.N.S.A. and the trade which provides that recreational films will not be shown within two miles of a public cinema until 12 months after the London release date. Exceptions to this agreement can however be agreed upon where the circumstances of individual units warrant such a course.
