HC Deb 02 August 1944 vol 402 c1382
49. Mr. Burke

asked the Minister of Production if he has now consulted with other Government Departments and arrived at a decision to make the Report of the Textile Mission to the U.S.A. available to the public or to Members of Parliament only.

The Minister of Production (Mr. Oliver Lyttelton)

I have consulted those of my colleagues who are concerned. Before publication, however, it is necessary to await the comments of our representatives in Washington. When these have been obtained, I shall be able to announce a decision.

Mr. Burke

Will the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind the very great interest that is taken in this Report, and the fact that it is being eagerly awaited by Lancashire people?
