HC Deb 27 April 1944 vol 399 cc937-8
Mr. Speaker

Before I call on Business Questions I will ask the Deputy Prime Minister to make a statement, because I think it will be for the convenience of the House.

Mr. Attlee

As the House is aware, Mr. Mackenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada, will shortly be arriving in London for the meeting of the Prime Ministers which has been arranged. We are sure that Members of Parliament would be glad to have an opportunity of meeting this distinguished Canadian statesman during his stay in this country. At the suggestion of my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister he has agreed to address Members of both Houses. The date, hour and place will be communicated later.
