HC Deb 20 April 1944 vol 399 c364
40. Mr. Leach

asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning if he will consider appointing a committee to inquire into the question of wild life protection, the formation of reservations as developed in the U.S.A. and the instruction of farmers and others in the asset value of all such wild life.

The Minister of Town and Country Planning (Mr. W. S. Morrison)

My Department is already collecting, with the help of various scientific societies, information in connection with the question of the formation of nature reserves for the protection of wild life. It is unnecessary therefore to appoint a committee for the purpose. On the last part of the Question, I will consult my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
