§ Colonel LlewellinAn agreement has recently been concluded jointly by this country and the United States of America with the Brazilian Government for the purchase of the exportable surplus of the 1943–44 and 1944–45 Brazilian rice crop. Arrangements are being made to ship here from Brazil sufficient rice to maintain distribution in this country at the current level.
