HC Deb 23 September 1943 vol 392 cc383-4
47. Sir H. Williams

asked the Prime Minister, whether his attention has been drawn to the grievance on the part of those serving in the anti-aircraft units in the United Kingdom that their active service has not been considered by the Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals in time of war; and whether this matter is under consideration?

50. Mr. Hewlett

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider extending the grant of the general 1939–43 medal to members of the Air Transport Auxiliary in view of the danger they ran from enemy air attacks whilst carrying out their duties, particularly at the time of the Battle of Britain?

Mr. Attlee

I would refer my hon. Friends to the reply which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister gave yesterday to Questions on this subject.
