§ 26. Major Nieldasked the Minister of Labour whether he has issued a notification to employers recommending that they should allow leave of absence to those employed by them who are members of the Army Cadets or similar organisations to attend camp; and, if not, whether he will consider issuing such a notification?
§ Mr. BevinNo, Sir, but I understand that the Inter-Services Cadet Committee recently issued a circular after consultation with the National Production Advisory Council of the Ministry of Production, in 366 which, while the needs of production are recognised, employers of young persons are asked to do all in their power to enable them to attend camp. I do not think any action on my part is called for.
§ Major NieldDoes my right hon. Friend agree with such recommendations?
