HC Deb 27 October 1943 vol 393 c174
34. Mr. Lindsay

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what measure of control is exercised by his Department over the expenditure by the Navy League of Government funds; and for what purposes are these used?

Mr. Alexander

Grants made to the Navy League from Navy Votes are earmarked for expenditure on the administration and technical training of the Sea Cadet Corps. Expenditure from such grants is accounted for by the Navy League to the Admiralty.
