asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether in any scheme for industrial reorganisation the claims of the Scottish light-castings industry will be considered, particularly where a change over from cast-iron to alternative methods of production are contemplated?

Yes, Sir. The Scottish Council on Industry have under consideration the position of the Scottish light-castings industry, and I am in close touch in the matter with my right hon. Friends the Minister of Supply and the President of the Board of Trade and with the other Ministers concerned.
