HC Deb 21 October 1943 vol 392 c1497
25. Mr. W. Brown

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the fact that his Department has agreed that there is justification for increasing the inconvenience allowance paid to prison officers serving at Dartmoor, he will give urgent consideration to the question of improving the existing allowance of 3s. 6d. per week?

Mr. H. Morrison

This question is bound up with the question of allowances at other prison establishments, and, as the hon. Member is aware, the matter is at the present time the subject of Whitley Council negotiations.
