§ 46. Sir Stanley Reedasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the valuable services rendered to the community by domestic staffs and the importance of their skilled work, he will consider the desirability of rewarding members of this service in each Honours List?
§ The Prime MinisterI fear it would not be possible to extend the Honours List in this direction without embracing so many forms of service that distinction would become universal and therefore lose its point.
