Sandersonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he proposes to exercise his option in giving three months' notice on the first interest date after 1st November, 1943, to redeem the Five Per Cent. Conversion Loan, 1944–64, amounting to £319,209,843, with a view to converting it into a new stock-bearing interest not exceeding three percent., so as to save the annual interest charges?
