HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 c866
36. Mr. John Dugdale

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will consider granting a gratuity to holders of the D.S.M. similar to that granted to men holding the D.C.M. and D.F.M.?

35. Sir Robert Young

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty why holders of the D.S.M. are not in receipt of a pension payment similar to that given to holders of the D.C.M. or D.F.M. by the War or Air Ministries?

Mr. Alexander

The question of making some monetary award to holders of the D.S.M. is under consideration, and a statement will be made at a later date.
