HC Deb 11 November 1943 vol 393 c1268
24. Mr. Lindsay

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that Miss Scott, a girl of 19 years, despite three medical examinations by different doctors within three weeks, certifying her as fit for light employment only, has been twice ordered to undertake heavy factory work and turned down by doctors; that on two occasions she has been offered light employment on war work, which the local National Service officer forbade her to take up; and what action his Department now proposes to take?
