32. Mr. Graham Whiteasked the Secretary of State for War whether the Report on the Organisation for Searching for the Missing has now been received?
§ Sir J. GriggI understand it was reported last August to the War Organisation of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John, by their Commissioner in Cairo, that he was satisfied with the progress of searching work in the Middle East, having regard to the necessary restrictions on transport and on accommodation in hospitals.
§ Sir J. GriggI do not remember saying that I would cable. The normal machinery would be for the Red Cross people in Cairo to report to their own organisation and that is what has been done. This is the only Report that I am aware of. What I undertook was to pass on any information which I got to the Red Cross.
Mr. WhiteWill the right hon. Gentleman be good enough to look at the reply which he gave at the end of July in which he promised to cable the Report?
