(2) whether he has considered the resolutions from the Renfrewshire Cooperative Party and the Cowdenbeath Co-operative Party, sent to him by the hon. Member for West Fife, demanding acceptance of the Beveridge Plan in full; and what statement he has to make?

Member's Question No. 48. As regards the last part of the Question, I would refer him to the statements made on behalf of His Majesty's Government in the course of the recent Debate on this subject.
§ Mr. GallacherIs the Prime Minister aware that the people of the country are not exactly satisfied with that answer made on behalf of His Majesty's Government, and would he not give an undertaking to make a new reply on behalf of His Majesty's Government?
§ Major PetherickIs the Prime Minister aware that the interest in this Report has been greatly exaggerated—that many Members of this House have received under 10 letters from individuals in their constituencies, and will the Government adhere to their decision to give the whole Report careful examination, in view of the wide implications involved?
