HC Deb 29 June 1943 vol 390 c1446
14. Mr. Bellenger

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he has now given consideration to allowing paratroops to retain their extra pay of 2s. a day for a period of three months if incapacitated as a result of wounds?

Mr. A. Henderson

Yes, Sir. Instructions are now about to be issued authorising the retention of this additional pay during periods of absence on account of injuries due to flying or parachute duties, or on account of wounds received in action against the enemy, for a period not exceeding 91 days, provided that the recipient is not in the meantime posted for duty with a unit for which the additional pay has not been approved.
