HC Deb 24 June 1943 vol 390 cc1292-3
19. Captain Gammans

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the action taken by a local authority in connection with a case of compulsory requisitioning of a certain property, of which private notice has been given him, as a result of which a family with II children have been given a house with only two bedrooms, and six children have to sleep permanently in an outdoor shelter; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. E. Brown

I understand that the house originally occupied by this family, which had been damaged by enemy action, will shortly be ready for occupation again, when immediate arrangements will be made for them to return to it.
