HC Deb 29 July 1943 vol 391 cc1786-7
88. Mr. Thorne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give any information in connection with the charge made against Mr. A. Ward for forging £5 Bank of England notes; can he say how many notes were forged; if any other men were involved in the case; and what he intends doing to prevent similar forgery?

The Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Kingsley Wood)

It has not been possible in the time available to trace the case, but if my hon. Friend will send me particulars I will have further inquiries made.
