HC Deb 23 July 1943 vol 391 c1225

Lords Amendments considered.

The Chairman of Ways and Means (Major Milner)

The Amendments to the Northampton Corporation Bill are, with one exception, of a purely drafting nature. The exception is the deletion of a Clause dealing with the contingency of the Water Undertakings Bill being passed before the present Bill becomes law. That is a contingency which may be ignored, and the Clause is therefore no longer necessary. I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in their Amendments."

Question put, and agreed to.
