Mr. Mothersasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that enemy prisoners are being escorted from North Africa by men who are thus afforded opportunities for leave at home while the men of the Eighth Army are denied such opportunities though they have been much longer abroad; and whether he will remedy this position?
§ Sir J. GriggThe force commander decides who shall be selected to escort enemy prisoners of war. I should be loath to interfere with his discretion. I will, however, bring the hon. Member's Question to his notice at some early opportunity.
