§ The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. Assheton)Milk is subsidised, and the difference between the prices paid to producers plus cost of distribution and retail prices is met out of the Exchequer. It is not possible to apportion the cost to the Exchequer between the expenses of production and distribution.
