§ 7. Mr. Thorneasked the Minister of Labour whether he can give any information in connection with the boiler explosion and the collapse of the boiler house at Glossop, Derbyshire, on Friday, 25th June; and when the boiler was last inspected?
§ Mr. McCorquodaleI understand that this was an explosion of a piece of steam receiving plant. The circumstances are being investigated by the Factory Inspectorate, and the inquest is to be held on Friday. I am not in a position to make a further statement at present.
