HC Deb 28 January 1943 vol 386 c585
1. Sir Robert Rankin

asked the Minister of Labour, whether he is satisfied that the Factory and Welfare Advisory Board have adequately notified employers, trade unions, personal managements, and other interested persons, of the facilities now provided by the Emergency Hospital Scheme for fracture treatment and rehabilitation of industrial workers?

The Minister of Labour (Mr. Ernest Bevin)

After consultation with the Factory and Welfare Advisory Board, my Department issued last month a leaflet describing the facilities provided by the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health for Scotland for fracture treatment and rehabilitation of industrial workers. The British Employers' Confederation, the Trades Union Congress, and other bodies have given valuable help in connection with the distribution of the leaflet, which has been extremely wide, and many references have been made to it in the general Press and in trade union and other journals. Further steps to draw attention to the facilities will be taken as occasion arises.
