HC Deb 28 January 1943 vol 386 c612
48. Mr. Loftus

asked the Minister of Agriculture in how many aerodromes or, alternatively, in what percentage of aerodromes is the grass cut, sold for or utilised for feeding for stock as dried grass?

Mr. Hudson

Ten, Sir.

Mr. Loftus

Is my right hon. Friend aware that tens of thousands of tons of the finest grass in the world are being wasted owing to non-utilisation?

Mr. Hudson

I do not know whether that is so or not, but there is a great deal of difference in dealing with aerodromes between grass being available and it being possible to make use of it.

Mr. Loftus

I will raise the matter on the Adjournment at the earliest opportunity.
