HC Deb 26 January 1943 vol 386 cc349-50
24. Mr. Hogg

asked the Secretary of State for War whether steps will now be taken for the further improvement of the air mail letter service between this country and the Middle East?

Mr. A. Henderson

I am as anxious as my hon. Friend that the air mail letter service between this country and the Middle East should be as good as possible, and the arrangements for the transmission of the mails are constantly under review with a view to improving them.

Mr. Hogg

Will my hon. and learned Friend consider an approach to the Air Ministry to allocate one or more aeroplanes permanently to this service?

Mr. Henderson

An approach has already been made to the Air Ministry with a view to effecting an improvement.
