HC Deb 18 February 1943 vol 386 c1937
52. Sir Robert Rankin

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the menace to post-war agriculture and food supplies in enemy-occupied allied countries and the probable need of introducing mechanical cultivation into those countries where few mechanics will be found, in consequence of which the Technical Advisory Committee on Agriculture has recommended provision for the training of Allied nationals now in this country in mechanical services in agriculture generally, his Department are taking steps to carry out this recommendation?

The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. R. S. Hudson)

The possibility of making arrangements for appropriate training is under consideration.
